The EMO trade-show next week is to be the starting point of the international campaign to promote the 29th BIEMH Machine-tool Biennial. The event is to be presented in Milan on the 8th October, with a new image focused on smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0, and a look at three of its major exhibitors: Ibarmia, Soraluce and Bost. This year’s BIEMH once again offers a nod to the strength of its participating companies with its slogan “You make it big”.
Xabier Basañez, General Manager of the Bilbao Exhibition Centre, will use his address to speak about the new challenges of the fourth Industrial Revolution and the best way to respond to them from the viewpoint of a trade-show organiser and that of businesses themselves. Also taking part in the presentation will be Xabier Ortueta, General Manager of the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Machine-tools, Accessories, Components and Tools (AFM) and top management staff from Ibarmia, Soraluce and Bost. Representatives of firms and media organisations from Italy, Germany, France, Rumania, South Africa, Mexico and Russia among others, plus of course Spain, will be able to obtain a first hand analysis of the situation of the sector and the main innovations as regards machinery in the economic and industrial capital of Italy.
By the end of financial year 2015 the AFM expects an increase of orders on the books of between 5% and 10%, so the prospects for 2016 are good. The BIEMH is to be held on May 30-June 4 next year at Bilbao Exhibition Centre.
