BIEMH´s exhibitors confirm most optimistic expectations

The expectations for the event were positive, and they have been confirmed. Initial data on the 29th BIEMH show that in the opinion of exhibitors in the different areas of the event it has lived up to the expectations generated by growth in the sector, with large numbers of visitors, highly interesting new features and orders being secured.

Ainhoa Rementería, General Manager of GORATU, expressed her satisfaction and contentment at how the event was going for her firm, which had been preparing for it for five months and was focusing its efforts on two fronts. On its stand the firm displayed its Geminis brand lathes, in an effort to convey their full potential for development in the field of high technology rather than focusing on specific products, and their Lagun milling machines, for which more attention was paid to specific machines. “Our expectations were high, and they have been met”, she assured, “because we have received many useful visits that have enabled us to enhance customer loyalty, attract new customers, contact potential agents and conclude cooperation deals for offering our multi-process solutions”.

Jon Urgoiti, Head of Sales at Ona Electroerosión, also assured that his expectations had been met: “We are returning to the good times that we had had earlier events”, he said, “with wave after wave of visitors, customers with a high level of interest and even unexpected sales.  We have around 20 people working on our stand every day, and the combination of meetings, demonstrations on drawings and live explanations by technicians is working very well”.

The expectations of DMG MORI as regards visitor numbers and orders have also been met.  The firm has taken advantage of its participation in the BIEMH to begin work on new projects with high levels of technological content. This was confirmed by Zigor Aizpurua, the firm’s Regional Manager for the Basque Country, who expressed his gratitude to the BIEMH for the excellent organisation of the event and the efforts made to attract visitors.

Hoffmann Iberia Quality Tools is a company of German origin that set up in Spain eight years ago.  On Thursday alone it made 95 new contacts, and its stand has been so crowded that staff have sometimes been forced to attend to three or four customers at the same time. “Our goal is to become leaders in quality and service, caring for our customers and having our technicians show them at first hand the stand-out items from our 1500-page catalogue. That is why this year we took a bigger stand at the event, with more staff.  And we will be back”, explained General Manager Carlos Arimón.

The large number of trade visitors was also one of the points rated most highly by Christian Postigo, head of the distribution company Maquinser, which had 15 machines on display, including a new Muratec model designed specifically for the automotive industry. “We have received a striking number of visits from people who were not already customers”, said Mr Postigo, “which means that this year has even exceeded the good results of 2014. We have concluded orders and sales have exceeded our expectations.  This is an event which is fundamental for showing off technology to Tier 1 workshops and subsidiaries so that they can see that it is affordable”. He is also positive in his assessment of Maquinser’s participation in ADDIT3D, where the firm received many queries. “Having a specific area dedicated to this field was the right thing to do, because by 2025 15 to 20% of all manufacturing will be additive, and we need to move forward”, he concluded.
