BIEMH extends the horizon of industry 4.0 with an ambitious 30th edition

The campaign for the event that will be held from 28th May to 1st June 2018 has begun

Industry 4.0, smart production, integrated systems, international opportunities, innovation and tendencies… BIEMH will hold its 30th edition with an extremely ambitious proposal, in which it will extend its position as a leading platform in advanced manufacturing with new spaces, products and exhibitors. Faced with an ever more demanding market, the event’s commitment to bringing new business models to strategic sectors of the economy, such as the automotive, aeronautical, energy or capital goods sectors is set out in its main message, which is also a direct invitation to companies to position themselves at the forefront of change: “BE IN, BIEMH”.

Therefore, over five days, participants in BIEMH will be able to address the new paradigms raised by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, with numerous solutions for resource optimisation, product personalisation, optimistic perspectives and growth, including that of the fair itself. A new space devoted to digitalisation, which will address the challenges raised by big data management, cyber security or software solutions for the automation of production processes, and the third edition of the WORKINN Employment and Training Forum, as well as ADDIT3D, with the latest in additive manufacturing and 3D, will round off the offer for next year.

The commercial campaign for the International Machine Tool Biennial Fair has already begun and will be developed in the leading manufacturing and consumer countries. In the initial exhibitor attraction phase, there are already many firms that have registered and are preparing their participation to specifically showcase all of the concepts that are revolutionising production processes. As for the visitors programme, emphasis will be placed on the international aspect, offering exhibitors the possibility of proposing clients and potential clients from foreign markets, who will be invited to form part of the purchaser delegations organised by the Fair.

The presence of the world’s leading machine-tooling companies has turned BIEMH into one of the most important and largest European fairs in its speciality, so the event maintains its claim “You make it big” as a tribute to the true stars: the exhibitors. The message is acknowledgement of the strength of these firms, which offer a specialised product that is technologically innovative with enormous added value.

In 2016, over 40,000 visitors came to the event, successfully closing an edition that met the expectations of the industrial recovery, with 13% more visitors, new areas of interest for companies and order intake in all of the participating sectors. In total, 140,000 commercial contacts were made between visitors and exhibitors, whereby the number of exhibitors rose to 1,533.
