China & Japan: first stops on the BIEMH’16 buyers’ programme

The team of visitors for the event is to travel to leading importing countries

A visiting team from BIEMH, International Machine-tool Exhibition, has travelled to China this week to learn at first hand about the situation of the market there and promote the 2016 edition of the event among trade specialists classed as potential purchasers.  This trade mission is organised by the AFM-Advanced Manufacturing Technology Association and focuses on mould manufacturers. The Bilbao Exhibition Centre personnel are accompanied by representatives of leading firms and organisations including SPRI, Kendu, Laip, Ona Electroerosión and Trimek.

The purpose of the trip is to encourage foreign buyers to join the programme of delegations. In this the support of distributors, importers and sectoral associations has been enlisted.  Thus, visits to firms such as Shanghai Global Precision Mould & Plastics, Shanghai Qian Yuan Motor Body Die, China Suri Ni Mould and Yesun (Shanghai) Mould, and to three leading associations – the Shanghai Die &Mould Association, the Shanghai Tools Industry Association and the Shanghai Electrical Apparatus Manufacturers Association – will be the high points of the agenda.

Later in the week the team from the BEC will travel on to Japan, another country selected by exhibitors as a point of interest for machine-tool exports.  Efforts to promote the event and attract strategic buyers there will include visits to associations of importers and distributors, and to major corporations such as Gosho Ltd. and Noah Corporation.

In all the campaign to attract purchasers to BIEMH’16 is to take in 15 countries, with China and Japan being joined by Mexico, the USA, Colombia, Peru, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Morocco, Algeria, Germany, the UK and Sweden.  The presence at the event of purchasers from these markets turns the technological advances presented into business opportunities.  The BIEMH team is also reinforcing actions to draw in major domestic buyers, as signs of a recovery in the domestic market become evident.
