Vacuum casting - Silicone molding
Vacuum casting - Silicone molding - On show

Prototypes

This rapid prototyping process allows the duplication of dozens of plastic parts from a silicone mould made from a master model produced by machining. Using this silicone mould, we can make parts with undercuts in different types of resins. These resins can be used to approximate different plastics such as ABS, PA, PP, etc. It is also possible to tint the resin in the body of the material to provide colours close to defined RAL or PANTONE references. This technology is recommended for low volume production due to the short mould life (10-15 pieces).

At EC International Group, vacuum casting is used to produce functional parts in flexible or rigid (polyurethane) materials. All our master models are machined in ABS, PMMA or PC to ensure excellent aesthetic and dimensional quality of your parts. It is also possible to cast silicone in a POM mould to produce flexible parts with different mechanical characteristics than PU parts.
