Macsa ID’s headquarters and the production unit is in Spain. We also have 4 subsidiaries offering direct sales and service in China, Singapore, United Kingdom and Portugal, in addition to an extensive network of distributors that covers more than 80 countries.
Technological leadership
Macsa ID is currently one of the five most important companies in the world specialized in laser coding and marking, and is known as a technology leader in this sector. The company invests more than 10% of its turnover in R&D, each year, to maintain its leadership position.
Making innovation one of the company’s key strategies has enabled Macsa ID to register over 30 international patents driving many of the major developments in the industry, such as the first dynamic mode laser for coding on production lines (1990) and the first fiber lasers for on-line coding (2009).
Our history
Macsa ID has its origins in the company Framun, a manufacturer and distributor of rubber stamps that started operating in Manresa in 1908. In 1983, taking advantage of the latest developments in coding and marking technologies, it was established as an independent arm of the company, engaged in the sale, supply and service of coding products for Spain. In 1989, MACSA ID saw the potential of laser technology and started developing the first laser coding and marking system to be sold in Spain, and later, from 1996, it started supplying it across the world.
