We make it yours: BIEMH offers companies an exhibition created specially for economic reactivation

The exhibition will hold a special edition this year, adapted to the market’s current situation

BIEMH, International Machine-Tool Biennial Exhibition, has changed the focus of its 31st edition on 24-26 November and will offer an event that is adapted to companies’ business needs and to the market’s current situation. This year’s fair will be fast and easy to set up and will focus on safety and new opportunities, thus helping BIEMH to play an active role in the sector’s recovery.

The claim, which has changed from “You make it big” to “We make it yours”, expresses BIEMH’s commitment with companies who have worked hard to make this event great thanks to their strength, ambition and innovative spirit. In a complex context, the event organisers want to embrace these qualities and provide clients with the best event, by designing a space that adapts to their needs, has an innovative business approach and offers many economic advantages. Exhibitors will have many opportunities to reconnect with their contacts and boost their businesses while visitors, will be able to meet their current suppliers and look for new ones, discover state-of-the-art technology and start to think about future investments.

This special nature of the event is also expressed graphically in the logo, since it appears in brackets to contain, but also to enhance, the brand, as if it were a pause in the midst of unprecedented and challenging times. And BIEMH offers new solutions in the face of these challenges. One of them is a very dynamic hybrid model, combining face-to-face and virtual content. This will enable us to reach markets and clients who are not present at the exhibition. The digital platform is called “eLive format” and will have three channels: Market Place, which will include the exhibitors’ directory and company videos; BIEMH TV, a channel with talks, news, interviews and innovation workshops; and the last one, B2B, aimed at networking with visitors and guest purchasers.

The organising team has also established new ways of taking part with discounts of up to 60% on exhibiting space rental. This year’s event is the result of joint work with the sector and close collaboration with the main organisations – AFM-Advanced Manufacturing Technologies and AIMHE, Spanish Machine-Tool Importers’ Association.

In this new situation, safety is paramount. All the necessary measures will be in place during the exhibition to ensure that the venue is a safe environment for visitors, exhibitors, suppliers and event staff, by following stringent health and hygiene measures. Bilbao Exhibition Centre has a strict procedure in place to guarantee a safe venue, which focuses on access control; preventive capacity management; control and monitoring of people’s movements and social distancing; cleaning, quality and environmental safety of our facilities; coordination and communication with authorities and health services; and actions against possible “suspicious” cases and the relevant care plans.

As for Addit3D and BeDigital, their organising teams have decided to postpone the events until 2021. They will take place on 1-3 June, at the same time as +Industry. The combination of all the exhibitions in the same space – Industry Tools by Ferroforma, Subcontratación, Addit3D, BeDigital, Maintenance, Pumps&Valves and Fitmaq – will showcase the most advanced industry at Bilbao Exhibition Centre.
