A total of 300 major buyers invited from countries such as Canada, the United States, Mexico, India, Portugal and Spain have visited the BIEMH this week seeking the latest advanced manufacturing solutions to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of their companies.

Rafael Ontiveros, the director of Hemaq (Mexico) commented that, “BIEMH has all the essence of what we need as buyers: tools and machines with the precision the market demands.” This edition has been for reuniting and restoring direct contact, which has been “fundamental for business” according to Fernando Gastaldo, the general manager of Factor Ingeniería y Decoletaje (Valencia). Gastaldo also highlighted “the excitement” of meeting friends and colleagues again, and the fact that BIEMH is being held at an “important time to observe the evolution and developments of the sector.”

In the same vein, Punit Chaudhry, the Secretary of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (India), said that “we are creating and getting very good collaborators; we are very happy and we plan to attend every edition.”

The Hosted Buyers’ Programme for inviting international buyers is one of the key elements to guaranteeing the attendance at the fair of leading professionals and managing business meetings. The programme, which also includes requests from exhibitors themselves, features the collaboration of distributors, importers and sector associations, agents, Basque Trade and Investment offices abroad, and chambers of commerce.
