WORKinn Talent Hub officially opens at BEC

The WORKinn job was opened this morning, at an event chaired by Idoia Mendía, the Vice-president of the Basque Government and Regional Minister of Labour and Employment; and by Teresa Laespada, the Congresswoman for Employment, Social Inclusion and Equality, who were accompanied by Gloria Múgica, General Manager of Lanbide, Xabier Basañez, General Manager of BEC, and José Pérez Berdud, President of AFM Cluster, among other institutional representatives.

In the words of the Regional Minister, “we are all useful here. There is immense talent to be discovered here: in omen,  who have not yet taken their rightful place in the workplace; in Young people, who aspire to enter that space. There is talent in the over-45s, who cannot be abandoned due to failure to adapt to the new realities of employment. And there is a lot of talent in people with functional diversity, who can become more actively involved in ordinary companies.”

For her part, the Congresswoman said that “we collaborate constantly with the business world. It is precisely as a result of this cooperation that some of its employment programmes have arisen. By keeping our ear close to the ground, listening to the needs of companies, it is easier to get it right so that many people can find a good job.”

Xabier Basañez, the General Manager of BEC, stressed that, “in this forum, as we have seen since Monday, employment, training, future skills, professional development and the integration of women into the industrial sphere are the main threads running through the content in the programme.” Identifying talent and matching companies with the most qualified people is one of the main aims of the event, the only industrial employment fair in Spain, now in its sixth edition.

This year, in addition, WORKinn evolves towards a much more ambitious concept, which turns it into an authentic integral talent space: WORKinn Talent Hub. For this purpose, there will be different areas that will cover all the topics from different focuses: job fair, Learn space, Networkin area, Industry&Art, Knowing the past, Inspire or Success Story.

WORKinn Talent Hub is organized by AFM Cluster and Bilbao Exhibition Centre and is sponsored by the Basque Government, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and Lanbide.
